'SPIRITED AWAY ON MY LAST TAXI RIDE'

You’re taxi’s here’

Pinged on my phone

As my spirit drank in

Last moments at home

You booked it a lifetime ago’

Messaged from outside

So I slowly floated off

For my last taxi ride

A front door opened

In a two door car

So there's no back seat drivers!

Laughed from afar

I gasped at the width

Of a huge fare meter

And then asked my new driver

To turn up the heater

“Going on holiday?”

My driver tried a joke

Just my luck to get a talker

So I stared hard at the bloke

As stars and planets flashed on by

He suddenly said with a twinkle in his eye

“I’ll drop you at your parents place”

And watched the joy light up my face

“Remind them our programme’s on telly tonight”

“What’s it called?” I replied, as I saw the light

“You’ll really enjoy it, have no fear!

It’s I’M A TAXI DRIVER!, GET ME OUT OF HERE!”
